On June 20, 2026, one of the most prominent bands in the modern ska-core scene — Public Serpents (USA) — is coming to Klaipėda. Their performance at Malūno Loftas is more than just a concert; it’s an explosive burst of emotion, protest, and music where punk rock fury meets the freedom of ska rhythms.

What is Ska? Ska is a musical style born in Jamaica in the mid-20th century, which later flourished in the UK and became the foundation for genres like reggae, 2 Tone, and ska-punk. It is characterized by upbeat tempos, brass sections, danceable energy, and social consciousness. Ska-core is an even more intense subgenre, blending ska with hardcore punk to create a powerful, inspiring sound pulsating with a spirit of rebellion.

About the Bands

• Public Serpents: A six-piece collective from around the globe led by the charismatic Skwert Gunn (former member of the legendary band Choking Victim). Their music carries a message of social justice, unity, and hope. They are veterans of major festivals like Boomtown Fair and Rebellion, having shared stages with Rancid, Frank Turner, and The Slackers.

• Giltinė.band: Providing the local heat, this Klaipėda-based punk-core outfit will open the night with their raw energy.
