Description
Carbon Based Lifeforms – for the first time in Lithuania!
On September 12, 2026, their unique ambient sound will fill the Vilnius cultural venue Kablys.
Carbon Based Lifeforms’ live performances are described as immersive journeys: for more than two decades, Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Vadestrid have been crafting atmospheric shows where organic soundscapes blend with pulsating rhythms and vast, cosmic spaces.
Carbon Based Lifeforms are electronic music creators formed in 1996 in Gothenburg, Sweden, by Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Segerstad, known for their distinctive ambient and psybient sound. Their music blends organic field recordings, atmospheric synthesizers, rhythmic yet subtle downtempo structures, and a cosmic, meditative mood. Carbon Based Lifeforms are renowned for their ability to craft deep, cinematic soundscapes that immerse the listener in a hypnotic journey through science fiction, nature, and introspection.
From unforgettable festival appearances—such as during the thunderstorm at Ozora in 2007—to sold-out concerts in planetariums, cathedrals, and even 80 meters underground in an old iron mine, CBL’s shows are more than just music: they are boundary-transcending experiences. Each performance immerses the listener in a world where earth and space converge, where ambient textures intertwine with hypnotic rhythms that linger long after the final sound.
