The theatrical concert Music from Eimuntas Nekrošius' Performances has already been presented to audiences in remarkable venues and theatres across Lithuania, where it received exceptional acclaim from the country's cultural, artistic and theatrical communities. Each premiere became a profound and emotional encounter with the creative legacy of Eimuntas Nekrošius—not as a nostalgic remembrance of the past, but as a living theatrical phenomenon that continues to resonate today.
The project has already been performed in Vilnius, Klaipėda, Kaunas, Panevėžys and Šiauliai, bringing together audiences from across Lithuania and reminding them of the unique place Eimuntas Nekrošius' theatre holds in the nation's cultural history.
A particularly significant stage of this project will take place on 18 December 2026 at the State Youth Theatre in Vilnius. This will be far more than another concert—it will be a symbolic homecoming to the theatre that shares a unique and deeply rooted connection with Eimuntas Nekrošius.
It was here that many of the director's legendary productions were born. This concert offers a rare opportunity to experience his artistic world through music, sound, imagery and live performance. Music from his most celebrated productions will be performed live together with specially created visual projections and archival footage.
